Promoting "The Belt and Road" Initiative and Deepening China-UAE Financial Cooperation

CCB International (Holdings) Limited Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Abu Dhabi Investment Office

On 30th November, CCB International (Holdings) Limited (hereinafter referred to as “CCB International”) and Abu Dhabi Investment Office (hereinafter referred to as “ADIO”) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (hereinafter referred to as “MOU”) on strategic cooperation in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. 

Both parties will endeavour to strengthen cooperation and regular communication to promote mutually beneficial initiatives and, through the Group's companies and affiliates, take joint action with clients and entities seeking to establish and conduct business in Abu Dhabi or in Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong in order to promote the high-quality development of "The Belt and Road" and to facilitate the deepening of financial cooperation between China and the United Arab Emirates.

CCB International is the first investment services group with which ADIO signs a memorandum of co-operation in the financial sector. According to the MOU, the two parties will explore the development and promotion of co-operative activities of mutual interest in key sectors e.g. industrials, renewable energies, minerals/rare earth, AI technologies, ICT (smart mobility, e-commerce, cloud computing) in the form of a joint venture model; facilitate the financing and secondary listing of Chinese companies in Abu Dhabi, as well as the listing of Abu Dhabi companies on the mainland of China or in Hong Kong; identify and screen various types of Chinese companies that meet the requirements for listing in Abu Dhabi for the Abu Dhabi IPO Fund (ADIPOF) and to promote investment opportunities; and at the same time, to identify and screen various Abu Dhabi companies that meet the listing requirements of the Chinese Mainland or Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) for investment by CCB International's direct investment and asset management businesses.
